One of the Most Challenging Links Courses in the World

Named after the dramatic ruins of Dunluce Castle, perched on a basalt cliff between Portrush and Portballintrae, the Dunluce Links is a course steeped in history and shaped by the sea.

Originally designed by the legendary Harry Colt, the breathtaking course offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. In preparation for The Open in 2019, architect Martin Ebert led a major redesign beginning in 2015.

Over the next 18 months, the shifting sands gave way to the construction of five new greens, eight new tee boxes, 10 new bunkers, and the creation of two new holes, the 7th and 8th, on land that was once part of the Valley Links.

The result is a magnificent layout that provides a fair and scenically stunning challenge for golfers to enjoy.

4th Hole - Par4 - Fred Daly's

A challenging par4 fraught with danger, OB on the right. Nestled between dunes, the green has a narrow entrance. Players are rewarded for accuracy.

5th Hole - Par4 -White Rocks

This stunning dogleg plays slightly downhill to a green, perched on the edge of the Atlantic ocean. Strategy varies hugely depending on players ability.

14th Hole - Par4 - Causeway

Its all about the second shot, the green is raised with a cavernous bunker to the left, the safest miss is short of the green.

15th Hole - Par4 - Skerries

Accuracy wins over distance, the backdrop to the green is glorious, with views of the Skerries and the Atlantic, but the second shot takes concentration.

16th Hole - Par3 - Calamity

No bunkers needed, the green drops away to a yawning chasm on the right. Whatever happens, keep it left and take lots of club.
